What good people really are, there’s a big difference between good people/ friends. There are kind and caring individuals who acknowledge everyone. Not make you feel like an invisible piece of shit!!! Oh not me, I’m talking about one of my friends.
So, yeah. My friend felt very used, insulted, embarrassed, you name it. She was hired to do something for someone very important this weekend. That someone wasn’t exactly very important to her personally, but she saw it as a very important opportunity to use her skills in a small business venture, she had on the side. This someone she knew from high school, so there really was a part of her that had felt bad they lost contact with each other. But this also seemed like a good opportunity to connect.
So Friday was the day of the job, and she could only finish part of it, because of her mother she had to leave the client. But the client had it all taken care of afterwards so the job was taken care of. Saturday my friend was invited to the clients big event. She had fun, ate good food, talked to some nice people. But didn’t get to talk to the -once former high school friend/ client. No biggy, maybe she would talk to her tomorrow for the other part to the eventful weekend.
The next day came, and she was late to the event, but when there was a point where she got to talk to her former friend, the client didn’t even acknowledge her. What the fuck!! Say hi back, by looking me in the eye. That’s all I ask, you invited me to the parties and you can’t even say “hey thanks for coming!” I feel that I was used. For only that little job, and even when I couldn’t finish and follow threw you didn’t acknowledge me, I’m wondering if you would have noticed me, if I did finish that job for you.
I left crying feeling so insulted, and embarrassed!!!! I can’t believe I cried, but then again I do cry when I get really pissed off. And I mean you really have to PISS - ME – OFF!!! I said really loud “(NAME) pose for me,” and with your back turned you walked away with your friends. To be a good host even means to acknowledge everyone!! At any party I have I make sure to speak to everyone to greet them, even if I don’t want to, or can’t remember them. Don’t say that you were busy, because I was standing less than 3 feet away from you when I said hi.
So yes ladies and gentlemen, I was talking about me. And from now on I will make sure I pay very close attention to who people really are.
